M.S.Dhoni in Armed Force


       The cricket icon of India and the captain cool, has got the place in Indian army. Territorial Army has given the honorary rank of lieutenant colonel to M. S. Dhoni. He got this rank in the parachute regiment of the Indian army. In the middle of this year, he got into the media for his two-week training for para-regiment in Agra, UP. As per the sources, he had contacted the paramilitary authorities for his initial trading. Reports also revealed that he has gone through 5 para jumps after two weeks of training.


Dhoni, a Lieutenant Colonel, has been training with the Air Force skydiving team at Paratroopers Training School in Agra and his first jump took place at 7 am. He leapt off an AN-32 aircraft from a height of 1250 feet. With a help of a parachute, it took 70 seconds for Dhoni to land on the ground.


The World Cup-winning Indian captain is undergoing a two-week training for para jumping. Dhoni retired from Test cricket after the Boxing Day Test in Melbourne last year. He is still available for ODIs and T20s
